Chart notes

MULLIKIN was brushed at the break, then moved up to stalk the pace three wide, ridden along by the five sixteenths and made a three wide bid to go on even terms off the bend, hit the front by the furlong marker and drove away to prove best. W W CANDY was bumped at the start and settled back on the outside, four wide on the turn and then finished well to get the place award on the wire. SUNCROFT set the pace on the inside and was clear on the turn, then was headed by the winner by the three sixteenths and proved to be no match for that rival in the final furlong losing the place award on the wire. CHIRON broke outwardly at the start, then was well placed on the inside, moved out in the lane and ran on willingly to the wire to best the rest. NABOKOV chased the pace in between rivals and weakened. MAJOR BLUE chased the pace on the outside, five wide on the turn and came widest into the lane and was empty in the drive. FRAT PACK chased the pace four wide and in between rivals and checked leaving the half mile marker and weakened. READY TO POUNCE was reserved early and failed to menace. KAVOD chased the pace on the inside, moved out on the turn and was four wide by the quarter pole and then tired in the lane.
