Chart notes
SWIFT TAP dueled for half a mile, shook loose and eagerly widened in the stretch driving. HEFFNER underwent shoe repair in the paddock, pressed the winner, proved no match but finished willingly. SOPHOS dropped far behind then offered late energy wide in the stretch. JARLIAN settled off the pace, advanced inside then flattened out. KINGSVILLE rated three wide close up then was finished midway on the final turn. BAD GUY dropped back at the start, moved wide and was no factor. MR. EINSTEIN was taken up inside on the first turn then empty after half a mile. SPEIGHTSTER RED chased between rivals, clipped heels and bobbled badly near the far turn. The stewards posted an inquiry into the incident near the far turn.
