Chart notes
EL DIABLO ROJO settled near the back, raced along the rail then angled out on the turn, spun four wide into the lane, collared the leader at the eighth pole, kicked clear and won going away. STORMY SAMURAI fractious in the gate, sped clear and crossed over, showed the way along the rail then two wide into the drive, challenged by the winner with a furlong left to run, yielded to that rival and stayed on to secure second. CROSS EXAMINE off slow to begin, saved ground to the stretch and summoned a mild rally to gain third. FEROCIOUSLY tracked off the inside, took the turn two wide and could not rally in the lane. PERFECTO AMOR antsy in the gate, chased two wide around the turn, three wide into the lane and flattened in the final furlong. OIL CAN KNIGHT chased four wide into the turn, moved into the two path leaving bend and lacked further response. BRUTTO chased outside a rival to the turn, rounded the bend in the three path and weakened down the lane.
