Chart notes
ROYAL AIR FORCE was bumped at the start, stalked the pace three wide into the stretch, dug in late four wide under strong handling and got up in the final strides. MURTAGH chased the pace two wide into the stretch, gained a narrow lead at the sixteenth pole and just missed hanging on. THE RED MAN was bumped from him outside into the winner at the start, trailed down the backstretch then closed late three wide in a determined effort. ARMOR PIERCING never far back, loomed boldly along the rail into the stretch then was outfinished. GIZMO'S MISSION bore in bumping THE RED MAN at the start, set the pace until deep stretch then weakened weakened. GOLD HERITAGE failed to menace.
