Chart notes

ARDANWOOD stalked the front runner while racing in the two path, was asked near the quarter pole and responded well joining the leader entering the stretch, matched strides and battled with the early leader for the lead, was joined by another rival closing on the outside, shook the inside rival, battled with the outside challenger, took a break for a stride or two then came back strong and finished off that outside challenger, took control and the win. MEGAN'S HONOR was off mid pack, raced four wide, advanced at the three eighths pole, gained ground and challenged for the lead by the eighth pole, battled, hung on the outside of his rival, unable to pass finishing second. NOVGOROD THE GREAT vied for the lead, pulled through the first turn and onto the back side, was asked to rate, finally relaxed, set the fractions through the second turn,, was challenged at the quarter pole, battled, then gave way near the eighth pole. PROTONIC POWER was off slow, raced three wide, advanced at the half mile pole, started to circle through the turn, closed, gained ground down the stretch, was in contention but did not have enough. WHAT A COUNTRY off slow, raced on the rail and was no threat. LUCKY BOSS raced mid pack, stayed on the rail but made no impact. REGULAR GUY trailed.
