Chart notes
APOLLO CODE raced close up on the inside, bid three wide on the turn, took charge coming to the quarter pole, drew clear under urging and was kept to the task. PALM ISLAND dueled two wide for command, dueled between rivals on the turn, dug in gamely in the stretch run and was clearly second best. FESTINATE stalked close up outside, made a four wide bid on the turn, could not go with the winner, then chased and finished evenly. MR. PENNY PINCHER raced off the pace inside, chased the leaders on the turn and lacked a rally. GROUP TICKET was outrun early, came three wide into the lane and did not factor. MAJESTIC ARC dueled inside for the lead, dueled on the turn and faded.
