GONZAGA BAY tracked the pace four deep in the early going, moved up to engage DANCIN ROCKET for the lead mid-way around the turn, vied outside of rival into stretch run, took over the lead approaching the sixteenth pole, drifted out wider and finished well clear. DANCIN ROCKET vied for the early lead with STATE SCHOOL SMART, took on the challenge from GONZAGA BAY mid-way around the turn, battled on gamely and held a slight edge a furlong out then failed to be a match with the winner approaching the final sixteenth. MISCHIEVOUS MAX raced in range through early stages, continued in contention around the turn, launched a three wide bid heading into the lane and held a share. IRISH COAST raced in the back through early stages, saved ground around the turn, angled out and launched a bid at the head of the lane, edged closer and just missed show. STATE SCHOOL SMART vied for the lead from the onset, battled on to the mid-way point, then failed to match strides and gave way in the lane.
