Chart notes
FROLIC IN THE PARK vied for the early lead on the outside, held position two and three wide through the turn, came three and four wide into the stretch, dueled late and edged ahead in the final strides. RED WREN tracked the pace, saved ground through the turn, angled three wide into the stretch, made a steady gain, dueled late and lacked the needed kick. YELLOW FEATHERS set the pace on the inside, shook clear into the stretch, then weakened late and held the show. BOYNE VALLEY broke awkwardly from the gate and was allowed to settle, moved up on the two path through the turn, came three wide into the stretch, then flattened late and held a share. MAIDEN LANE mid pack, moved up two and three wide through the turn, fanned four wide into the stretch and had no rally. CLASSIC JULIA well placed and outside, held position three wide through the turn, then faded four wide into the stretch. ITALIAN IVY was never involved.
