Chart notes
ICE BAR raced well back from early contention while saving ground, started his bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole, circled rivals in the six path on the far turn, left the turn outside, closed quickly through the stretch and took over the final yards. MR HOOVER rated the pace toward the inside, came under pressure leaving the seven sixteenths pole, raced at the rail on the far turn and was steadily handled leaving the turn, but gave up the lead in the final yards. PROTA settled close in the three and four paths then gave chase leaving the five sixteenths pole, remained a factor three wide on the far turn but flattened later yards. KRUG raced in the six path the opening turn then stalked off the rail the second turn, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole, contested at a close disadvantage two deep while between horses on the far turn but flattened stride later yards. JUMPSTER settled off the rail, gave chase past the half mile pole, raced at the rail on the far turn and ran evenly in the lane. GRAND MANNER stalked inside, gave chase nearing the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn about the four path, drifted leaving the turn and flattened in the lane. PYEONG CHANG settled in the three and four paths, gave chase toward the three eighths pole then flattened in the three path on the far turn. MISTER WINSTON raced in the seven path the opening turn, came through the second turn in the three path and showed little response through the backstretch. STRUM AND PLUCK raced about the five path the first turn, saved ground on the second turn and was through early.
