Chart notes
PASS THE CROWN vied for the lead with HATASASAL into the stretch, shook that one off nearing the eighth pole and maintained a safe advantage. POLIS was unhurried early while racing two-wide, angled to the inside nearing the quarter pole and closed strongly. DRIVE TRAIN was off a step slow the brushed with SIR LOOKING GLASS early, moved up along the inside to stalk the pace, came three-wide into the stretch then angled further out during the drive and finished in a mild rally. HATAGASAL vied for the lead into the stretch from along the outside and weakened late. SIR LOOKING GLASS brushed early with DRIVE TRAIN then saved ground while being reserved off the pace and failed to seriously threaten. LONG GONE SILVER settled in the middle of the field while racing three-wide and failed to be a factor.
