BAK TO LIBERTY away well and stalked the dueling leaders into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, quickly collared the pacesetters entering the final turn, and just as quickly took command and drew clear while being ridden out late to prove much the best. GROOVIN' IS BAK settled at the back of the compact field while racing two out from the rail entering the backstretch, launched his bid two wide entering he final turn, steadied while looking for room from between rivals leaving the turn, and closed willingly from along the rail in the drive to get up for the place. EXTRA INNINGS away alertly and pressed the pace from the outside of PENALTY TO RANGERS entering the backstretch, continued to force the issue two wide into the final turn, was quickly overtaken by BAK TO LIBERTY, and while no threat to that rival, finished determinedly three wide in the drive to garner a share. BARBERRY BANDIT settled off the contested early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backside, rallied three wide entering the final turn, and finished five wide in the drive while unable to mount a serious late bid. PENALTY TO RANGERS broke sharply and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from along the rail in the run down the backside, was overhauled entering the final turn, and weakened over the final furlong.
