DONNA WYN broke sharply, but eased off the dueling leaders to gain a stalking trip one out from the rail entering the backstretch, commenced her bid three wide entering the final turn, and finished best of all five wide in the drive to be up in time. EDDIE'S GIRL away well and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of SAILINGFORTHESTARS in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, drifted out in mid stretch bumping with SAILINGFORTHESTARS, and finished two out from the rail in deep stretch to hold the place. WEEKENDINDELMAR tracked the dueling leaders from along the inside entering the backstretch, rallied smartly two wide entering the final turn, and closed willingly four wide in the drive to garner a share. DREAMING D'ORO unhurried early while dropping back to trail, rallied along the rail entering the final turn, and closed from along the inside in the drive while flashing late interest. SAILINGFORTHESTARS away alertly and dueled for the lead from the outside of EDDIE'S GIRL entering the first turn, continued to force the issue two wide in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, was bumped in mid stretch by her pace rival, causing her to get pinballed between rivals, and was taken up sharply. Following the running of this race the stewards conducted an inquiry into an incident in mid stretch. After review there was no change made to the original order of finish.
