Chart notes
TRIPLE BAD gave chase toward the inside through the backstretch, rounded the turn off the rail, was eased out toward the top of the stretch, dug in for the lead inside the sixteenth pole and inched clear under the wire. JUBA BOUND angled in and rated a slim lead three wide through the backstretch, rounded the turn near the rail and was steadily handled leaving the turn, but gave up the advantage past the sixteenths pole and reluctantly ceded later yards. FREE DROP BACH chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the four path, angled to the outside entering the stretch and dueled through late yards for third. COLT ROCK chased through the backstretch, entered the turn about the three path, was carried out toward the top of the stretch and ran evenly in the lane. ROBBEDINTHEBAHAMAS chased, raced off the rail on the turn and ran evenly in the stretch. REMYS GUNSMOKE engaged in close early chase but steadied off the inside flank of Juba Bound in the vicinity of the five sixteenths pole, rounded the turn off the rail and weakened in the lane. ANGEL OF ATTACK was never a factor. CHARITABLE WINDSOR stumbled to his nose leaving the gate and lost the rider. The Stewards conducted a review of the start of this race, and also reviewed and rejected a claim of foul against the rider of Juba Bound for alleged interference through the backstretch, lodged by the rider of Remys Gunsmoke.
