Chart notes
PIZZA CHARLIE raced outside of rival in the second flight, picked up the pace two wide entering the turn, moved up into striking range, came three paths wide into upper stretch, briefly waited then dug in gamely between rivals in the final furlong and drew clear. OBVIOUSLY TOO was well rated sitting just off the top two flights, moved up into close contention racing three wide approaching the quarter pole, came four paths wide into upper stretch, vied gamely along the outside then got outkicked approaching the sixteenth pole. BRILLIANT COLORS vied inside of MOJITO up the backstretch, continued in close range late on the turn, dug in along the rail at the head of the lane, vied for the lead into the final furlong then yielded late. MOJITO vied for the lead up the backstretch, held a slim lead at the quarter pole, rechallenged at the head of the lane, fought back into the final furlong then weakened. JUST JOHNNY raced in the second flight then weakened past the half mile marker, came three wide into upper stretch and lacked a needed rally. SUBURBAN PRINCE raced off the pace, saved ground around the turn and failed to threaten. APOLLO BAY raced in the back throughout.
