Chart notes
SELASSIE allowed to settle, looped up three wide through the second turn, bid on that path into the stretch, made a steady gain, edged ahead late and held. HIGH HEADED unhurried, looped to position four wide through the second turn, fanned widest into the stretch, made a steady gain and missed. CROWNED JEWEL set the pace pulling, shook clear down the backstretch, stayed on when challenged at the furlong marker, then weakened the final yards and held the show. PARTNER TOURS well placed and outside, moved up two and three wide through the second turn, came four wide into the stretch and evened out. TRAVELLER stalked the pace on the outside, held position through the second turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, then weakened the final furlong. PREGAME passed a tiring rival. CITY LEADER well placed and inside, saved ground through the turns, came through inside of rivals into the stretch and faded.
