Chart notes
SCIENCE (IRE) tracked the pace along the inside down the backstretch around the far turn, shifted three deep into the upper lane and finished well to edge up under strong handling. KATIE'S NOTION chased the pace setters from the outside, raced five wide into the upper stretch and finished gamely to the wire. K'S PICK raced mid pack early, waited for racing room near the quarter pole, made a two to three wide in the lane and finished gamely to the wire. DISCREET DEVIL vied for the early lead near the inside and weakened a bit the final eighth of a mile. VILLEGAS SWING pressed two deep from the outside of rival and weakened through the drie. NINTH OF APRIL had an inside trip and no late response. BOOM BOOM KABOOM raced four to five wide around the far turn and had not enough. SAND DUNE dropped back early and failed to respond.
