Chart notes
WELTON chased the pace racing two-wide, angled out to be three-wide entering the stretch, took a slight lead nearing the eighth pole and then was fully extended to prevail narrowly. FANTASTIC DAY was unhurried early, rallied three-wide into the stretch and finished fast. ELEVADO dropped back early while saving ground, angled out to be two-wide nearing the eighth pole and closed strongly. CORN POP was allowed to settle early, came five-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. POVERTY BAY saved ground while being forwardly placed, angled out to be four-wide entering the stretch but lacked a rally. RUN SNAPPY dueled with CODE CHARLIE for the lead into the stretch from along the inside and weakened late. CODE CHARLIE dueled with RUN SNAPPY for the lead from along the outside, drifted out leaving the three-sixteenths pole and tired.
