Chart notes

PINEAPPLE CRUISE broke alertly, vied for the early lead and was well handled while contesting the moderate early pace, disputed the pace from the two path entering the turn, took command into upper stretch, shook free at the furlong marker, drew away into the final sixteenth and was hand ridden to the finish to prevail as much the best. TOM'S TREASURE showed good speed away from the start, contested the moderate early pace from the outside, pressed four wide into the turn and took a narrow lead at the quarter pole, was outkicked by PINEAPPLE CRUISE into upper stretch, could not keep pace with the winner into the final sixteenth and held well for second in deep stretch. RIDIN'THESTORMOUT bobbled at the start and was away slowly, rushed up in the early going and contested the pace between rivals approaching the half-mile marker, pressed the pace three wide and between foes into the turn, lost ground into upper stretch and chased to the furlong pole, needed more into the final sixteenth and was outfinished for second, while clear of the rest for third. PRINCESS LUC chased the moderate early pace, was guided three wide into the turn and lost ground at the quarter marker, was outrun into the stretch and did not offer a late response. DARLIN CLEMENTINE chased the moderate early pace from the inside, was guided to the two path entering the turn and ran in pursuit heading to the quarter pole, angled out for the stretch drive and lost ground at the furlong marker, could not muster a late response and gave way.
