Chart notes
MEANT TO BE LUCKY well placed and between, gained a short lead on the two path through the turn, drifted in slightly bumping SCRATCHOFF into the stretch, then straightened and drew off under steady pressure. UNCLE JOCK well placed and outside, gained position three and four wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch, drifted in, straightened under left hand urging and edged up for the place late. SCRATCHOFF exchanged bumps with a rival at the start, moved up quickly to sprint clear, stayed on when challenged through the turn, was bumped into the stretch by the leader, then weakened late and held the show. BACKDOORPARTY unhurried, saved ground through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch and closed well for a share. THOUSAND LOVES tracked the pace, saved ground on the two path through the turn, came through on that path into the stretch, angled out and had no rally. GOVERNOR ATWOOD ran evenly for a half and had no rally. PUNX was never involved. GET ALONG ran evenly for a half and faded.
