Chart notes
ARISTOCRACY away well and eased off the dueling leaders to track the pacesetters two out from the rail through the stretch the first time, pressed the leaders three wide in the run down the backside, rallied smartly two wide through the final turn, and got the better of his stubborn pace rival late to prevail. SLOOP JOHN B away alertly and dueled for the lead from the outside of BRIAN'S DE LEIGHT through the stretch the first time, forced the issue from between rivals into the backstretch, took a narrow lead midway down the backside, rallied along the rail entering the final turn, and just missed following a stretch long battle. PRINCE CAIRO stalked the contested early pace while saving ground at the rail through the stretch the first time, maintained a stalking trip in the run down the backstretch, commenced his bid two wide entering the final turn, and closed one out from the rail in the drive to get up for a share. LOGICAL AL stalked the dueling leaders into the stretch the first time while racing one out from the rail, maintained his position in the run down the backside, rallied three wide through the final turn, and finished two out from the rail in the drive to just miss the show spot. HIGHER IMAGE unhurried early while dropping back to trail, bided her time at the back of the pack in the run down the backstretch, launched her bid two wide from between rivals entering the final turn, but needed more late while finishing five wide in the drive. BRIAN'S DE LEIGHT broke sharply and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the stretch the first time, set a pressured pace from the inside of SLOOP JOHN B into the backstretch, struggled to keep pace with that rival in the run to the final turn, and weakened over the final furlong.
