Chart notes
WHY NOT ME sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, turned back a bid into the stretch, shook clear, then drew off while being kept to the task. CROWNED JEWEL rated in the early going, gained position two and three wide through the second turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, then was no match for that one, while clearly best of the rest. CALL THE BALL tracked the pace, saved ground through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, then flattened the final furlong and held the show. PHOBIA unhurried, looped up three wide through the second turn, bid on that path into the stretch and improved his position. COOPERSTOWN passed a tiring rival. TRAVELLER rated outside the leader, faded through the second turn.
