SHEZAFUNKYDRUMMER tracked the early pace inside, angled out two wide near the quarter pole, came under a ride turning for home, vied outside of ELEGANT JUSTICE for the lead, shook free past the furlong marker and finished clear. ELEGANT JUSTICE pressed the pace in opening sages then took over the lead late on the backstretch, held firm over close pursuers around the turn, vied inside of SHEZAFUNKYDRUMMER in upper stretch, battled past the furlong marker then failed to move on while finishing clearly second best. SPANKERBOOM led the way in opening stages then got overtaken by ELEGANT JUSTICE late on the backstretch, continued in striking distance around the turn, weakened off the top pair in upper stretch but stayed on and held show. BAYTOWN BUTTERFLY raced off the early pace, saved ground around the turn, hustled up inside through the lane and just missed show. SWIFTWIND raced near midpack through early stages, chased inside on the turn, tipped two wide for the drive and evened out. UNSPOKEN TRUTH raced off the pace, hustled along four wide into upper stretch and passed tiring rivals. DANCING MAGIC raced outside off the early front runners, swung five wide into the stretch and failed to move on. MIND YOUR MO raced up close three wide the weakened around the turn. SIPPING FIREWATER raced in range then faded around the turn. MOVE IT MARY raced off the pace, saved ground around the turn and never threatened. BAYTOWN BUTTERFLY CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST SPANKERBOOM FOR INTERFERENCE AT THE START, AFTER REVIEW NO ACTION WAS TAKEN
