DRAGOON GUARD pressed the early pace in the three path, took command going into the turn, moved to the rail on the first turn, led in hand, was clear in the stretch and held sway under mild urging. STRONGHOLD was steadied at the seven-eighths pole when impeded, stalked the pace in the two path, bid in the four path at the three-eighths pole but couldn't get to the winner. INFORMED PATRIOT vied early between rivals, impeded a rival, pressed the pace outside of the winner and gave way in the stretch. E J WON THE CUP was unrushed, bid in the five path at the quarter pole but couldn't close late. REAL MEN VIOLIN was unrushed early inside, bid at the quarter pole and faltered in the stretch. WOODCOURT was jostled in the first turn when STRONGHOLD was steadied, stalked the pace between rivals and faded in the stretch. KITTY HAWK stalked the early pace in the three path and faded at the three-eighths pole. THE STEWARDS DISMISSED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST STRONGHOLD LODGED BY THE RIDER OF WOODCOURT ALLEGING INTERFERENCE ON THE FIRST TURN.
