Chart notes
KING OF THE PALACE raced in the middle of the pack between horses up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the three path, began a bid passing the quarter pole and gained ground late to kick clear. MARTINI MAN chased the leader on the inside through the opening quarter, saved ground around the bend and kept on in the lane. I CONDUIT stumbled leaving the gate, trailed the field up the backstretch, began a bid while saving ground around the bend, raced into traffic in midstretch and improved position from there. RIVER RANSOM led the field up the backstretch, continued to show the way while racing in the three path around the turn and faded in the final furlong. THE MAN THE MYTH raced off the pace on the outside through the opening stages, navigated the turn from the three path and was empty in the stretch.
