Chart notes
MAHONEY ROAD set a pressured pace down the backside, repelled an early challenge in the far turn, opened a clear lead turning for home and drew off as much the best while kept to task down the lane. PATH TO SUCCESS unhurried for the first half mile, gained ground on the backstretch whiel saving ground along the fence, waited behind a wall of runners early in the far turn, angled six wide at the head of the lane and finished well to be second best. JIM AND JIM tracked the leaders down the backside, was put to an early drive when well placed in striking distance along the fence on the final bend and finished evenly. MR FROST prompted the pace for the first half mile, amde an early bid from the fence entering the far turn and failed to sustain the bid. STORM'S REFLECTION reserved off the pace for five-eighths, made a four wide bid on the turn and flattened out in the lane. LAWMAKER stalked from three wide for a half mile and came up empty.
