Chart notes
BROWN EYED CAT was bumped then forced out at the start and off a bit slow, dropped well off the pace under urging, went around the turn in the two path, came three wide into the stretch then quickly moved further out, rallied outside under a right-handed crop and closed strongly to get up in the final sixteenth and prevail. CALL BOB broke very alertly then moved in quickly, dueled on the outside of an opponent then in the three path on the turn, dropped to the two path late on that bend, shook clear into upper stretch, came under the crop outside the furlong marker, led to the sixteenth-pole then was overtaken while well clear for the place. STORMY'S DREAMING was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn and lacked the needed response while just up for the show. TOMACON bobbled slightly at the start, was urged along off the pace, went around the turn in the three path, came four wide into the stretch and just missed the show. D C BOY'S was ridden along on the outside at the rear, went three wide on the turn, dropped in a path while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch and was no factor. ROMANTIC CHARMER broke out and bumped solidly with a rival, chased the pace on the outside then in the four path on the turn, dropped back while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch, drifted out some near the furlong marker and tired. NEW YORK SCRAPPY rushed up to duel on the inside of a foe, vied in the two path for most of the turn then moved to the rail, dropped back into upper stretch and capitulated.
