Chart notes
CHARLESTON away alertly, prompted the pace two wide, made the lead at the half mile marker, set the balance of the pace and widened through the stretch under a strong hand ride to win as much the best. LORD MARXMAN stalked the early pace along the inside, shifted two wide before the far turn, improved position and gamely gained second. GREERS FERRY slow early, rallied determinedly in the five path through the stretch and just missed getting up for second. CAN'T YOU SEE offered a mild bid along the rail into the stretch then failed to sustain that bid. BE ON NOTICE away alertly, set the pace along the inside for nearly a half, chased the winner into the stretch, stopped before the furlong marker and was eased to the wire.
