QUARTERBACK DAK pressed the pace into the first turn, then dueled with the early pace setter before taking command on the far turn was confronted by an eager foe in the late stretch but held on determinedly to prove best. ABSOLUTE COURAGE tracked the pace while two wide, then shifted to the three path to moved up on the far turn, rallied a gamely bid at the top of the stretch, met with QUARTERBACK BAK in the final sixteenth but could not overpower the determined leader and hung at the wire. TAKE FLIGHT led the way from the inside, sparred with an outer foe in the late backstretch, stalked the emerging leader on the far turn, rallied a brief bid in early stretch then gave way. EGO was allowed to settle along the inside in the early stages, then swung six wide leaving the far turn to rally a mild bid in the stretch and came up empty. MR B QUIET chased from the inside mid pack, was in a strong drive on the far turn then lacked the needed response in the late stretch. GOLD ACCOUNT tracked the pace from the inside, then rallied bid leaving the far turn while four wide, brushed outer foe then kept on to no avail. GIST was unhurried early and no threat. LEVY chased the pace while two wide and between rivals in the early furlongs, rallied a bid leaving the far bend while five wide, was brushed by an inner foe then lost momentum. JOHAN ZOFFANI (IRE) chased the pace while four wide, then moved up in the late backstretch to bid briefly on the far turn then stopped.
