Chart notes
COASTAL JAZZ vied with PETER FLIES for the lead from along the outside, disposed of that one nearing the quarter pole and increased his advantage. COOL PAPA G was close-up early racing along the inside, angled out to be two-wide entering the stretch and finished well for second in a steady effort. WELTON was forwardly placed early while racing three-wide, got shuffled back nearing the three-eighths pole, angled out to be five-wide entering the stretch and finished in a mild rally. A VIEW FROM ABOVE was prominently placed while racing four-wide on the turn and lacked a rally. FANTASTIC DAY dropped back early, came three-wide into the stretch and gained his best stride too late. COMPANY'S DREAM prompted the pace for a half mile while three-wide and weakened. POVERTY BAY settled in the middle of the field, came five-wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. PETER FLIES vied for the early lead from along the inside and tired.
