Chart notes
RUSSI was hustled from the gate then settled off the pace, went two then three wide on the turn, rallied five wide into the stretch, made an outside bid near the three-sixteenths, battled outside of two foes into the final furlong, drifted in near the sixteenth-pole and got up to narrowly prevail. TWISTED FILIGREE was hustled to the front, showed the way while inside of a rival, vied in the two path on the turn, was given his cue near the five-sixteenths pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, lost the lead near the furlong marker, fought on gamely inside of two foes to the finish and just missed while narrowly able to get the place. YOUR MAN ALEX was well placed just off the pace, went three wide on the turn, rallied four wide coming to the quarter-pole, made a bid in upper stretch, took a short lead near the furlong marker, drifted in while clinging to the front into the final sixteenth, fought between the top two to the finish and just missed while clear for the show. FINAL DENILE broke a step slow, settled on the outside, tucked in behind foes then was taken in hand late on the backstretch, went three wide under extra left-rein guidance on the turn, was roused six wide into the stretch and finished with late energy to get the last spot in the superfecta. TWO'S A CROWD settled towards the rear, saved ground on the turn, shifted three wide into the stretch, moved out nearing the furlong marker then paused in traffic and finished willingly to just miss the superfecta. ALLIED ATTACK was hustled from the gate, showed speed inside foes then was taken back just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, turned into the stretch in the two path, pursued the vanguard under a drive into the final furlong and weakened. FRIDAY I'M IN LOVE broke a step slow then was crowded between foes, settled at the rear, moved from the two path to the four path early on the turn, made his way to the five path late on that bend, dropped back to the four path while in hand behind foes outside the quarter-pole and failed to threaten. SARATOGA BANKER pressed the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and tired. CASHEL KITTEN bobbled at the start, settled on the outside, was urged four wide on the turn, dropped back seven wide into the stretch and had nothing left.
