Chart notes
GILLIGAN away alertly, set a pressured pace along the inside into the stretch, shook clear before the furlong marker and prevailed under strong handling. KOSCIUSZKO pressed the pace four then three wide and gamely gained second. BOURBON OVER ICE had good early speed two wide, dropped back a bit before the turn then came on again late along the rail in a determined effort. MUNI MUNI SLEW found his best stride late outside. NICHOLAS JAMES failed to menace. MY TWO AUNT JOANS had good early speed three then two wide then faded. UHAVETOBEKITTENME hopped at the start, rushed to contention outside the field before a quarter, had speed into the stretch then was used up.
