COLLABORATIVE forced the early pace, had a slim lead on the far turn and from the three path at the top of the stretch veered in and was kept to task. FIFTH SEASON was unhurried early and a factor on the far turn but from the five path at the top of the stretch was no match for the winner. CARPE BELLUM set a pressured pace and dueled on the far turn but was in tight at the top of the stretch and outfinished. SANTIAGO SALSA was off the pace and had a mild gain on the far turn but from the six path at the top of the stretch was no threat. A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER ON CARPE BELLUM AGAINST COLLABORATIVE FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH RESULTED IN COLLABORATIVE BEING DISQUALIFIED AND PLACE THIRD.
