Chart notes
BOOKER'S CHARM allowed to settle, saved ground through the turns, angled around a tiring rival through the second turn, then angled back in into the stretch, made a steady gain and drew off inside the furlong marker. TIMO pressured and steadied between rivals, rated back into the first turn, tracked the pace to the second turn, then moved to position two and three wide, came four wide into the stretch, lugging in slightly, made a steady gain, edged ahead at the furlong marker, then was no match for the winner and held the place. BLUE SOLDIER vied for the early lead inside, moved up to gain a short lead through the second turn, then weakened the final furlong and held the show. WHISKEY OR WINE mid pack, moved up two and three wide through the second turn, came three wide into the stretch, drifted in and weakened the final furlong. MAGNUS EFFECT set the early pace off the rail, stayed on when challenged through the second turn, then faded the final furlong. MR. YASUDA was never involved. TALE OF THE DRAGON pressured and bumped by both sides after the start, steadied along early, moved up quickly to be well placed between, then faded through the second turn.
