Chart notes
PETIT FILS (FR) saved ground around the first turn, led the way way on the inside up the backstretch and around the far turn and drew off in the lane. AMERICAN UNITY raced in the two path early, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, came around the second turn in the three path, raced in tight quarters in upper stretch and kept on to the wire. THE PENINSULA saved ground around the first turn, continued up the backstretch in the middle of the pack between horses, navigated the far turn from the three path, raced into traffic and was forced to check passing the quarter pole and chased on from there. BUSTIN UP raced in the middle of the pack on the inside through the opening half mile, continued to save ground around the second turn and was outkicked in the lane. BONDED raced in the two path around the first bend, pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, came around the far turn in the two path and faded in the lane. BATTALION reared up leaving the gate, trailed the field while saving ground around the first turn and up the backstretch, began to improve position while racing in the four path around the second bend but never truly threatened. EL DE LARRY raced in the two path around the first turn, settled off the pace for the run up the backstretch, came around the far turn in the three path and made no bid. HEFFNER raced in the three path early, stalked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the far turn from the two path and tired in the lane.
