PENNY PINCHER raced off the pace, moved up between rivals on the turn, rallied three wide past the quarter pole, then hit a fallen foe and checked, gained command nearing the furlong marker and pulled away under mild urging. RUN HAPPY PAPPY vied inside for the early lead, then was shuffled back entering the turn, continued on the rail, checked at the quarter pole to avoid a fallen rival, then rallied on the rail for second. DUDEWITHANAME stalked outside, rallied four wide midway on the turn, checked past the quarter pole, bid outside of the winner in upper stretch, then weakened and lost second. JESUS' DREAM vied between rivals for the lead, then chased two wide on the turn, hit a fallen rival at the quarter pole and lost the rider, then was transported off the track via the Equine Ambulance. CHIEF ENGINEER vied three wide for the lead, shook free on the turn, then was injured at the quarter pole and fell, transported off the track via the Equine Ambulance after. After a Stewards' Inquiry, the race was declared official.
