Chart notes

ALPHA COMPANY stalked between rivals, chased two wide on the turn, rallied three wide into the stretch, gained a clear lead at the sixteenth marker, then dug in gamely to hold on. OPTICAL BIJOU was off slowly and ducked in, outrun early, moved up at the quarter pole, came wide, made a late run outside and was gaining at the end. ELECTRIC EEL chased close up inside, chased on the turn, rallied into the stretch, then rallied on the rail and got third late. DR. DOYLE set the early pace, dueled inside on the turn, dug in gamely in the lane and weakened late. LEMON CREEK LOUIE chased outside, bid on the turn, dueled, dug in through the lane and weakened late. BINGO'S BOY raced off the pace inside, chased on the turn and had no rally. RUNNING RIGHT BY U broke through the gate, ran off for about an eighth of a mile without getting loose, then raced off the pace, steadied at the four and a half mile marker, chased and tired.
