Chart notes

REIQUIST rated two wide, moved out three deep in the middle stages, bid three wide on the far turn, fought between past the eighth pole, dueled with ESCAPE ARTIST late and won the bob. ESCAPE ARTIST tracked in hand from the two path early, pulled between rivals on the first turn, traveled midpack leaving the backstretch, was on the move four deep before drifting out at the five-sixteenths pole, corrected course and resumed his attack, battled in the lane and dueled outside REIQUIST into the final sixteenth, dug in late but lost the bob on the wire. IRISH PROPHET stalked along the inside, waited for room on the second bend, had nowhere to go when boxed in upper stretch, angled in with a furlong remaining, bid from the fence but got outkicked by the top pair. MALTESE FALCON (IRE) settled inside, raced in mid-pack into the far turn, drifted out and bumped rival at the quarter pole, angled out in the lane, finished well and rounded out the superfecta. DIVIN PROPOS (FR) unhurried and traveled three deep early, moved closer leaving the backstretch, got carried wide at the five-sixteenths pole, moved back in and got bumped at the quarter pole, turned for home in the four path, angled out in the lane and closed well to gain ground late. LIVING LIFE broke a step slow, raced on the inside near the back, saved ground to the stretch, moved out in the lane and showed late effort. MALIBU COAST traveled outside a rival at the back then trailed into the first turn, saved ground around the far turn, moved off the fence at the eighth pole and summoned a mild rally. SARWAR (FR) received a shoe repair prior, settled three wide, rushed up from outside at the nine-sixteenths pole to take command, lost command at the seven-sixteenths pole, regained command past the quarter pole, fought to midstretch and weakened. DEAN MARTINI away well, moved into the two path stalking the leader, drew alongside late first time in the stretch, chased around the first turn, pressed between briefly on the backstretch then chased the top pair into the far turn, got shuffled back with three furlongs remaining, took a bump at the quarter pole, came three wide into the lane and weakened. CASTLE LEOCH cleared and crossed over from the outside, lost command early on the backstretch, regained the lead at the seven-sixteenths pole, overtaken for the last time past the quarter pole and gave way. MASTER GAME raced outside a rival towards the rear, came two wide into the stretch and was not a factor.
