DEVIL'S TOWER rated from outside, went for the lead two wide on the bend, dueled outside KHOZAN'S VALENTINE through the lane and edged ahead inside the final sixteenth. KHOZAN'S VALENTINE set the pace from inside, was overtaken on the turn, did not relent through the lane but hadn't enough left in the late going. BUREAU moved to the outside midway on the backstretch, made his bid three wide on the turn but could not sustain it in the stretch.
