Chart notes
OUT ON BAIL showed speed from the outside post, pressed the pace on the outside of two foes, vied in the three path while outside of one rival on the turn, took the lead near the quarter-pole then turned into the stretch in the four path, dropped in while kicking clear in the vicinity of the three-sixteenths pole, was put to a right-handed crop at the furlong marker and just held under strong urging. LEON BLUE broke awkwardly and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, was urged towards the rear, raced in the three path on the turn, swung into the six path into the stretch, rallied outside into the final furlong then drifted in some, gained into the final sixteenth, was guided in shortly thereafter then bumped soundly with PAY THE JUICE and finished with good energy to just get the place. PAY THE JUICE settled in the middle of the field, raced in the two then three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path, rallied on the inside of the runner-up, was bumped soundly by that foe late and just missed the place while clear for the show. IRON MAX was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, was urged at the rear, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four to five path, moved out outside the furlong marker and improved position. ARMY PROUD leaned in and brushed the gate at the start, was urged along on the outside, traveled around the turn in the three path, dropped back while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch and tired. SKY MASTERSON was urged along towards the back, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the seven path and failed to threaten. NONNO JOE broke a bit slow then was taken up, dropped well behind the rest of the field, moved from the two path to the three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and gained late but failed to impact. CLASSIC RUBY was hustled from the gate, pressed the pace between horses, chased in the two path on the turn and tired. PANDEMIC HERO was hustled to the front, set the pace under pressure from two rivals to his outside, vied along the rail on the turn, lost the lead near the quarter-pole and gave way. STRAND ROAD was urged along off the pace, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond.
