Chart notes
SOLDATNA vied with PRINCE OF MEMPHIS for the early lead while two-wide, opened a clear lead before going three furlongs and maintained a safe advantage despite drifting out during the drive. EARTHLY TIGER saved ground while being allowed to settle, angled out to come two-wide into the stretch splitting rivals and finished strongly. PRINCE OF MEMPHIS vied for the early lead from along the inside, dropped back slightly on the backstretch while continuing to save ground, slipped through during the drive and finished well for third in a steady effort. CALORESE was allowed to settle, came four-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. PURE CANE SUGAR was reserved off the early pace, moved u[p three-wide on the turn to offer a bid nearing the quarter pole and then faltered during the drive. CHINOOK BEND was forwardly placed while racing three-wide and tired.
