EMPEROROFTHENORTH saved ground setting the pressured pace, responded when challenged by SPORT COAT nearing the eighth pole and proved best under strong handling. SPORT COAT was unhurried early, moved up four-wide nearing the quarter pole, offered a bid nearing the eighth pole but was unable to get by the winner late in a game effort. NYQUILER was allowed to settle while racing two-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and finished well for third in a steady effort. DARK MYSTERY saved ground while being allowed to settle but lacked a rally. FUN CITY prompted the pace for a half mile from along the outside and tired.
