Chart notes
MIDNIGHT TIL DAWN bore out at the start, raced four wide, bid at the half-mile mark, was clear at the quarter pole, then came out nearing the wire under mild urging. MASTER OF THE NITE stalked the pace inside, angled to the three path at the quarter pole, bid late and was steadied just before the wire. BALLYCOTTON BAY stalked the pace inside, angled to the four path at the three-eighths pole and faded at the eighth pole. WEEKEND FLAME had a slight hop at the start, stalked the pace in the three path, bid at the three-eighths pole, went to the rail at the quarter pole and faded in the stretch. WEGOTJACKSBACK raced well back with no late bid. PINK ROBE raced inside and passed tired ones in the stretch outside. SPLENDID DRAMA was clear early and gave way on the far turn. JUST GUS was not a factor. THE STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION FOLLOWING A JOCKEY'S OBJECTION BY THE RIDER OF MASTER OF THE NITE AGAINST THE WINNER.
