Chart notes
SMITHWICK'S SPICE set the pace on the inside, dueled on the far turn, turned back bids in upper stretch, kicked clear and then held on well late. APRIL FOOLS ANDY raced two wide off the pace, came four wide into the lane, rallied outside and finished well for the place spot. RICCIO raced three wide early, then pulled two wide, chased two wide on the far turn, rallied between rivals and got third. GROUCH raced off the pace with an inside trip and rallied mildly on the rail in the lane. MISSION MAN raced off the pace inside, angled out in the stretch and failed to threaten. CORONOVA pressed the pace racing close up two wide, chased on the far turn, came three wide into the lane and weakened. THE COLORA KID raced four wide early, stalked three wide, bid on the far turn, dueled and faded. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
