RED CHILI PEPPER vied for the lead along the inside through the turn, shifted out two wide entering the stretch, responded with a late burst of speed under left handed urging to make the lead past the sixteenth pole and drew clear. ROLL ON MAX away alertly, set the pace until deep stretch then was no match for the winner. MARQUITOS M moved up four wide on the turn then leveled off. LIVING THE DREAM failed to menace. NATIONAL STORY was through after a half. CINSAULT was through early. WAR ON THE RIVER stumbled at the start, rushed to contention three wide before a quarter, dropped back on the turn, stopped abruptly in mid stretch, was pulled up and walked off.
