Chart notes
MEXICAN SUGAR raced in the two path around the first turn, dueled on the outside up the backstretch, came around the far turn in the two path, kicked clear in upper stretch and just held off a closer at the wire. PURRING raced in the three path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack for the run up the backstretch, navigated the far turn from the four path and gained ground late to just miss. TARTAN GREEN (IRE) raced in the three path early, chased the leader on the outside up the backstretch, continued around the second turn still in the three path and kept on to the finish. DIRTY GOLD saved ground off the pace on the inside through the opening half mile, came around the far turn in the two path, began a bid passing the quarter pole, raced into traffic in midstretch, swerved to the inside to find racing room and was outkicked from there. BIG BOLT saved ground around the first turn, dueled on the inside up the backstretch, continued to battle while saving ground around the far turn and weakened in the final furlong. VAI GATTINA tracked the leader on the inside around the first turn and up the backstretch, continued to save ground around the second bend, raced into traffic when DIRTY GOLD swerved into his lane in midstretch and faded from there. DRAMATIC EFFECT raced in the two path around the first turn, settled off the pace on the outside for the run up the backstretch, came around the far bend in the two and three path and made no bid. A STEWARDS INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE STRETCH RUN. ADDITIONALLY, THE RIDER OF HORSE TWO, VAI GATTINA, CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST HORSE FIVE, DIRTY GOLD, CLAIMING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. UPON REVIEW, HORSE FIVE, DIRTY GOLD, WAS DISQUALIFIED TO SIXTH PLACE FOR INTERFERENCE.
