MARYS TAPPIN SHOES away alertly and raced to the lead one out from the rail entering the stretch the first time, set a controlled pace into the second turn while remaining one out from the rail, held a narrow advantage from between rivals in the run down the backside, opened a clear advantage through the final turn, and continued to widen her lead late under confident handling. MERRY BLUE broke sharply and tracked the pacesetter into the stretch the first time while racing one out from the rail, pressed the pace three wide in the run down the backside and into the final turn, was unable to match strides with her pace rival entering the final turn, and closed three wide in the drive to hold on for the place. PETERSON LANDING stalked the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the stretch the first time, continued to save ground through the second turn to battle for the lead from along the rail entering the backstretch, rallied from along the inside entering the final turn, and closed one out from the rail in the drive to be along for a share. KARDINAL ROSE away well and stalked the leader into the stretch the first time while racing three out from the rail, continued with a wide trip while staying in contention in the run down the backside, launched her bid four wide entering the final turn, and finished three out from the rail in the drive while not being persevered with late. FLYING MISS stalked the early pace while racing one out from the rail entering the stretch the first time, dropped back to trail the field in the run to the final turn, and failed to mount a late bid when called upon.
