Chart notes
VHAGAR was reserved off the early pace while racing four-wide on the turn, came six-wide into the stretch, took the lead nearing the eighth pole gradually drew clear. SQUARE FUN prompted the pace from between horses, took a slight lead nearing the quarter pole, responded when headed and held on gamely to the wire. PARKER'S FIFTEEN was unhurried early, came four-wide into the stretch and rallied late. NORTHERN LINCHPIN vied for the lead from along the inside to the stretch and weakened. CANDIED JOULE was allowed to settle early, angled out to come three-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. LASSIE CAT was bumped at the start by JIM'S JET then was prominently placed early while three-wide and weakened. JIM'S JET broke out to bump LASSIE CAT then moved up to vie foe the early lead while three-wide and tired. DADS DIVA settled in the middle of the field while two-wide and gave way nearing the quarter pole.
