Chart notes

LA VITA SOFIA was hustled to the front, showed speed while moving to the inside for the run around the first turn then dropped off the pace, tracked outside on the backstretch, chased in the three to four path on the far turn, made a bid outside the five-sixteenths pole, took the lead coming to the quarter-pole then shook clear in the three path into upper stretch, responded well in the final furlong and held under strong urging. BACKSTRETCH ROSE was off a step slow, went five wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, advanced under urging while dropping from the three path to the rail on the far turn, moved out under a drive in upper stretch, chased the winner in the drive and finished with good courage for the place. MOONLIT WEEKEND saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace, raced in the two path early on the far turn, drafted off heels near the three-eighths pole, was roused while shifting to the three path for room before the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. KAREN'S HONOR broke in at the start, went five then four wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, gained in the four to five path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the four path, dropped back while remaining on her inside lead in the drive and weakened. GRAMMY GIRL tossed her head at the start and was off slow, went four wide on the first turn, dropped in entering the backstretch, settled well off the pace, saved ground while roused on the far turn, bumped with a rival inside the five-sixteenths pole, swung out into upper stretch and failed to threaten. BROOKLYN DANTZ bumped with a rival at the start, dropped to the two path for the run around the first turn, settled at the rear, went around most of the far turn in the two path, was taken up off heels outside the quarter-pole then shifted to the three path and was no factor. FRANNIE LEW hit the outside of the gate then bumped with a foe, showed speed on the outside of a rival in the three path on the first turn then moved clear, showed the way down the backstretch, vied in the two then three path on the far turn, lost the lead before the quarter-pole, drifted out while dropping back around the furlong marker and capitulated. BUMP IN THE NIGHT went three to four wide on the turns, came five wide into the stretch and was no factor. RAININGATTHEBEACH went around the first turn in the two path, settled on the outside, dropped back under extra left-rein pressure in the two path on the far turn, bumped with an opponent inside the five-sixteenths pole then was taken in hand and faltered.
