Chart notes
ROPER vied with BOOGIE ON DOWN for the lead while racing two-wide, shook that one off entering the stretch then responded when challenged by MONGOLIAN SPRING nearing the eighth pole and gradually drew clear late. MONGOLIAN SPRING was allowed to settle, rallied three-wide into the stretch, offered a bid nearing the eighth pole but was unable to stay with the winner late while proving second best. DREAM TIME was unhurried early, came six-wide into the stretch and rallied late. COY ROY was reserved off the early pace, came five-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. BOOGIE ON DOWN vied for the led to the stretch from along the inside and weakened. CHINOOK BEND prompted the issue to near the quarter pole while three-wide and tired.
