ISLAND SPIRIT vied between rivals for the early lead, took over to set the pace, dug in gamely between rivals in the stretch run and held on for the place spot. POST COMMAND raced off the pace, chased between rivals on the turn, came three wide into the lane, rallied, bid and just missed for second.
